Clitheroe Royal British Legion Club receives new defibrillator
New defibrillator for Clitheroe
We were delighted to attend at the club on Whalley Road, Clitheroe to formally hand over the defibrillator early in the new year.
The charity was contacted in 2019 as the committee of the club had wanted to look to raise funds to provide a defibrillator both for members of the club and for the general public.
One of the club’s members was taken ill and required the assistance of a defibrillator, which on this occasion was provided just in time by the ambulance service. Thankfully the lady taken ill has made a full recovery, but the committee were driven to take action and try and make provision of this vital life saving equipment for the future benefit of anyone who may find themselves in desperate need.
The social committee of the club plan some fundraising events in 2020 to benefit the charity, and we hope you will be able to support them as they are announced.
