Family Fun Day at Rishton Golf Club raises £2,580 !!!
We were delighted to be involved in the Family Fun Day at Rishton Golf Club this August Bank Holiday Monday, which was staged by the club in support of the charity as a token of thanks following our placing of a defibrilllator at the course earlier in 2021.
A Stableford-scoring golf competition was the highlight of the day, and the course looked in magnificent order. Kevin Sheridan and his team deserve great credit for the condition of the course, which made for a challenging day for the non-golfer members of the team entered by the Charity!
The Clubhouse itself was packed with children and families from the local community who came out in support of the charity and enjoyed all the events hosted in the afternoon by the Club.
A busy day ended with a presentation and a raffle, with many prizes still to be claimed.
The total raised was a staggering £2,580 which we will put to good use in our local communities in the installation of further defibrillators in the coming weeks and months.
Special thanks go to Damian Haworth and Stephen North who deserve immense credit for all their hard work and efforts in hosting such a fantastic day, and to everyone at Rishton Golf Club, the sponsors of the day and the local community for their continued support.
