Philip Maher Foundation Takes Over Defibrillator Management from Great Harwood & Rishton Rotary Club
We are pleased to announce that the Philip Maher Foundation has taken over the responsibility for the management and ongoing financial costs of two life-saving defibrillators, located at Rishton Library and Lyndon House in Great Harwood. These vital devices provide critical support to our local communities in emergencies, offering immediate assistance in the event of cardiac arrests.

This transition comes as the Great Harwood & Rishton Rotary Club has sadly closed. The club has been a long-standing pillar of the community, known for its dedication to service and numerous charitable contributions over the years. In line with their commitment to supporting local causes, the Rotary Club made a generous donation of £500 to the Philip Maher Foundation to assist with the future costs of maintaining these defibrillators.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Great Harwood & Rishton Rotary Club for their generosity and their service to the community over the years. Their donation will directly help ensure that these defibrillators remain fully operational and ready to save lives when needed.
At the Philip Maher Foundation, we are committed to continuing this legacy of community care. With the support of donations like this, we can ensure that these essential devices are maintained and available for use. Thank you again to the Rotary Club for their invaluable contribution, and we look forward to working together as a community to protect the health and well-being of local residents.
